These are rules that you MUST follow if you plan to use anything on this site. This is, with a few exceptions, a pretty standard Creative Commons Attribution License, so it will be familiar to many visitors. If you’ve never heard of Creative Commons, I suggest a quick look at it; however, you do not have to know the intricacies of the Creative Commons in order to use what I’m offering. Just read this page, and follow these rules, and you will be alright.

The Main Page

Unless otherwise explicitly noted, the graphics and design of the main page and internal pages are for my use only, and are not covered by the Creative Commons Attribution License. This means, simply, that you can’t use them. The designs and graphics in the Layouts section that are free for visitor use, but not those in use on the main site.

Layouts

All graphics, CSS, and other code located within the Layouts section is licensed for you to use, for free, on any non-commercial site. You can adapt them to Blogger, Wordpress, or other such systems you might be using. The only stipulation is that you MUST link back to Wondershock somewhere on every page that uses the layout. Most of the layouts include a small footer credit, but you can move it to a links area if you like. The important thing is that it is present and visible somewhere on the page. It is fine for you to alter the layout, but do not claim it as your own. If you are new to CSS or HTML, I don’t recommend altering layouts. If you use one of my layouts, it would also be nice if you commented to let me know where you’re using it, so I can visit it in the wild.

Textures and Brushes

The textures and brushes may be used to create graphics for display in your own personal space (ie, desktop wallpaper,) as well as graphics for the web. If you use the textures or brushes for web graphics, however, you must link back to Wondershock on the page where you used the texture or brush, or in a “Credits” page to which those pages link. The only other prohibition on use of my textures and brushes is that they CANNOT be used, in any way, shape, or form, on Geocities. If you use either of these sites, I strongly recommend moving.
